Saif Linen setting the environmental standard in Yorkshire
Bradford based laundry company Saif Linen are proud to be the first in Yorkshire, and indeed in the North of England, to use Laundry Efficiency technology in their wash processes therefore helping to reduce the impact on the environment. This is a very important factor to the directors of a company that has offered highly cost effective laundry services to a number of loyal clients in the area, from hotels and restaurants to golf and leisure clubs. And their client list is growing thanks to recommendations from happy customers.
As important to them is the quality of their work to ensure their customers get the best possible service on time, all of the time.
Managing Director Arosh Ali said: “We are the first laundry company in the North of England to install innovative Ozone wash processes, which are the most environmentally friendly way of cleaning linen. This uses less chemicals and detergents, which is much friendlier to the environment, yet gives a brighter and cleaner wash that you will really notice.”
Ozone laundry is a philosophy of textile care that uses electricity and oxygen in a unique way to replace many of the harsh chemicals normally used in a traditional washing process. Oxygen and electricity are used to create Ozone, which is dissolved into water and applied to the wash wheel in place of the chemicals. This fundamental change to one of the major aspects of textile care comes with many benefits that all serve to improve the efficiency of a laundry. Ozone technology laundry systems greatly reduce the environmental impact of traditional laundry operations.
Ali adds: “We can achieve high quality standards without using hot water and chemicals. Ozone is a highly effective oxidizer that actually delivers multiple cleaning factors to the laundering process using only cold water.”
Saif Linen always strive to improve their operations to the benefit of their customers. And to the environment, even the way they pack linen for delivery to customers.
“We aim to keep packaging in plastics to a minimum, but understand that some customers prefer it”, Ali says. “And we understand that every business has different storage capabilities and sometimes the linen does need to be wrapped to protect it until use.
“But we do make a conscious effort to reduce the use of plastic film packaging, by packing directly into clean fabric bags which are re-used time and time again.”
And again, this holds environmental benefits and improves customer service. “We deliver all our linen in bags, and collect the same way. This means we can deliver to the preferred room for the customer”, Ali adds. “We can move quickly up or down stairs, which is not always possible with caged delivery. Also the weight of metal cages on the delivery vehicle is not fuel efficient, and affects our carbon footprint, so we try to avoid it. But, if the customer want cages for storage on their premises then we can help with that.”
Customer care is vital to Saif Linen and they understand their customer needs, operating seven days per week and they even deliver on bank holidays. “We respond to phone calls and emails every day of the week” Ali states. “We are working when our customers are working, so we deliver when they need us to,
“We have vehicles standing by and we expect the unexpected, always reacting positively to our customers changing needs. We deliver on bank holidays. Our delivery schedule to clients will be matched to their needs.”
